Car Lust

We had a party at our house Saturday night. Nothing huge - only about a dozen people - friends we've known forever - lots of laughter, food, etc.

Our friend Michael brought his new sportscar (WRX STI... pictured above, although his is black) and took me for a ride.... I literally have not driven that fast in a car in YEARS... we took some of the curvy little 2 lane roads near our house that are almost always vacant and the speed took my breath away and made me giggle until I couldn't stop. That car corners like it's on rails. It was a BLAST. :)

Later I found out that car was made for off road rally car racing. And let me tell you, driving at those speeds, around those corners made me feel like I was 17 again..... LOTSA fun.. :)

Now I'm wanting a sportscar of my very own....yes, I have Car Lust.... I wonder if I can trade in my Practical Mommy Sedan for the above?

we are thinking of trading in our big ol' SUV for a smaller SUV (buick)...Coach said: "you know you are getting old, when you are eyeing the buicks!"
Glad you had a party...they are always fun.
Hugs to you and your family.

That's what you should have asked for for Christmas!

I'm going to tell Claire to make sure to read this post! She would have a lot to say about it.

And that is so funny what Suz said about the smaller Buick SUV. Because, I have also eyed that particular one. Of course, I am old now. But in our defense, those are not your typical Buick!

Oh, I have a lot to say. We were importing these cars before they were seen in the US and it is fun to see how much the general public loves them now that they are here. The very first 2001 WRX sold in the US was to our team. I could go on and on but I would bore you all with my auto-drama. I am just glad to be able to welcome you to my world of fast cars.

Claire,
As I mentioned on FB, I can SOOOO see how speed can be addictive! :)

And Suz, yes you DEFINITELY know you're getting old when you're eyeing the Buicks! ;)
