"Sunshine Superman" by Donovan

... was the #1 song in America the day I entered the world.
And it's a pretty cool song, I must say. :)

If you're curious about what song was #1 on your date of birth, this handy dandy site will help you out....

And, if you want to hear the FAR OUT SOUNDS of that COOL CAT Donovan, I've got you covered:

Suz,
I realized I clicked on 8/31/1966, instead of 8/31/1967! (Mine should be "Ode to Billy Joe" too!
DUH!
After all, you and I were born just a couple of weeks apart!)

Oh well. I still like the Donovan song, so I'm keeping it up there.

Last week I watched an oldie movie, If It's Tuesday This Must Be Belgium. It's about a group of Americans doing major cities in Europe and Suzanne Pleshette is in it, plus that goof ball from 3's Company. Anyway ... one of the group's teenage daughter is on the trip and she slips off with a cute guy and he takes her to a place where Donovan is playing. It's pretty funny and the song he does is a totally tripped out one I've never heard. And there are reefers being passed around : )

I never knew a woman to lie upward about her age;)

The #1 song when I was born was "Autumn Leaves" by Roger Miller.

I heard it played well on those old Victrola players you cranked.

D'Arcy - I remember that song! Actually, I remember roller skating at the roller skating rink to that song! (With the mirror ball, and my purple and gold pom poms on my skates.... ah, those were the days....)
And those Brothers Gibb were "da bomb" back in the late 70's.... no doubt. :)
