Very little, except the RIGHT TO THEIR OPINION!
Both are taking a lot of crap right now for things they have recently said publicly.
Is it just me, or has freedom of speech been sacrified in favor of "political correctness"??
Drives me NUTS.
I am a BIG BELIEVER in free speech.
Even if I disagree (strongly) with what a person is saying, that person has EVERY right to voice their opinion.
That's part of the fabric of our amazing country!
And if we try to squash that, we're in BIG trouble as a society.

Tell it, Sister!
Amen sista! The privilege to be able to speak your thoughts as a woman is lost on many in our America. I am grateful for the lessons I've learned and continue to learn from my Afghani sisters. (sigh) Shouldn't be taken for granted!
Oh, I wanted to let you know....the thing that we missed the most by eloping was the ability to have our puppies with us. :-( You were so right on with your comment.
How are you hangin' in there at your cubicle!? I'm always thinking of you, remember that! :-)
god, i feel silly, i don't know who these people are, or what has been said
all i know is that i am entitled to think feel and say whatever i feel like....i would never intentionally be abusive to someone...but if someone is offended by the things i say, then they don't have to listen.
being in the public eye is a little different though i think, as such we have a duty not to make comments that are offensive or derogatory....
Yadda Yadda Yadda....free speach is one of the great things that sets us apart from other "not so fun" countries.
Sally,
The woman in the top photo is the current Miss California, Carrie Prejean. She caused QUITE the firestorm when she said publicly that she was against gay marriage and she feels that marriage should be between one man and one woman. One of the judges of the beauty pageant (Perez Hilton, who is a gay man) has taken it upon himself to persecute her as harshly as possible and make her life miserable. Apparently he doesn't think she should be allowed to have an opinion that flies in the face of "political correctness".
The woman on the bottom is Wanda Sikes. She is a comedian (and, incidentally, is a lesbian, not that that is important to the discussion... but it just serves to underscore my point that EVERYONE - no matter WHAT their personal beliefs, lifestyle, etc., DESERVES their freedom of opinion, speech, etc.). Anyway, Ms. Sikes was the featured speaker at the correspondents dinner for President Obama last week and one of her jokes was at the expense of Rush Limbaugh. I won't go into details but she made a JOKE, which the right wing talking heads are now analyzing ten ways to Sunday and crowing about ad nauseum.... ("nauseum" being the operative word).
Anyway, long story short - that's who those two people are: Carrie Prejean and Wanda Sikes. There you have it! :)
Thank you for the reminder!
Well said!!!!!
