Did you guys see coverage on (or, better yet, attend) any of the TEA parties going on yesterday? There was a very large one in Atlanta, down at the State Capitol building. Estimates were 15,000 - 20,000 people were in attendance at the Atlanta TEA party alone!
Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and Independents were all present. Anyone who is concerned about our BROKEN tax system in this country....
Hubster and I were unable to go, but we did watch coverage of it on Fox News (the big 3 networks only gave it a cursory mention). Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a "taxpayer revolution" which will get our irretrievably broken tax system THROWN OUT and a new more FAIR TAX system put into place.

We had a large one here also....I hope it does some good because things need to change!!
I didn't go but I would have loved to participate : ). Grandma J went. Isn't that lady magnificent?
Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting.
I went to one here in Central Texas. It was a small town, but with the weather being so unpredictable I didn't want to attempt a bigger one. I was surprised to see so many people...they said 600 attended, but the morning news said the local police put the estimate much higher at 2K.
You are right, it wasn't a partisan event, and I didn't see any negative signs bashing either side of the spectrum. Just people tired of paying high taxes. Many people don't realize there are some major tax hikes coming down the pike that will affect everyone...like the new energy taxes.
CA has gotten hit hard recently with huge car registration increases and across the board sales tax increase, and more.
The event in San Antonio, at the Alamo sounded wonderful, and of course the one in Atlanta was huge too.
Isn't Rebeckah too kind? I need to hire her as my agent. I love her! :)
Hopefully something will change because something needs to change. That would be nice.
Much love from NJ,

P.S. My boys are staying with their grandma and great-grandmothers tonight so I have the afternoon all to myself since Peyton is sleeping. Wouldn't ya know Chloe goes outside and comes back all covered in dirt. She knew it was her turn for attention since everyone was gone I tell ya. :-)
Sue, it must be the week for dogs to do that! Diva did the same thing and snuck in (I was reading and my daughter let her in without paying attention to her....granted, since she's a Choc. Lab, the dirt is not that noticeable).... anyway, she ran up to my room, and JUMPED UP ON MY BED!!!! I could have screamed when I saw my sheets... Muddly little paw prints all over.
But what can you do? The dog was just being a dog... :)
