Diva's FUROR Over My Return to Work

Diva is, apparently, LIVID that I have abandoned her during the day.
And, if I try to look at it through her little (beautiful brown eyes), I can kind of see why.
I've always been at her beck and call, ever since she was born.
And now, I am GONE all day long, without an adequate replacement.

Anyway, she's taken her anger out on objects with the "ew" sound in them.
Here is a list of things she has managed to destroy in the first week I've been gone:

1. A bottle of Elmer's glue (partially ingested the plastic cap; ingested ALL the glue, and managed to get some of the glue on her ear and on her tummy. There's a lovely "glue spot" on the carpeting. Good thing our carpeting is already trashed.)

2. Glue sticks. (for a craft project). Chewed beyond use.

3. Electric glue gun (cord severed from gun). Now worthless.

4. Hula Hoop (chewed to the point where it is no longer round... and, thus, no longer useable. it is now a backyard chew toy.)

5. SHOES (yes, this was bound to happen. She selected my FAVORITE pair of casual shoes. Black suede mules. REALLY cute. She totally ATTACKED one of them. The other one remained untouched.

Good thing I love that dog so much. :-)

Oh Happy Wife... That's terrible... Can you keep her in a specific area of the home (out of reach from things like your shoes)??? She must be young...

My Duchess (cocker) chewed up a cross stitch project that a friend had made. I thought I was going to KILL that dog then. Like you said, it's a good thing we love 'em so much!!!!!

How's the new job???
Hugs,
Betsy

She misses you BIG TIME!! She's lucky she's cute! Chloe wrecked my favorite pair of tan, casual, Bandolino shoes. I still miss them to this day. Great color and very comfy.

Much love from NJ,
Sue

Awww....perhaps she was just doing all the stuff to the glue to try and make a craft project???
Not sure about the shoe.
I bet it is tough on her...poor baby. Maybe get her a new toy and only bring it out when you leave for work each day????
Take care, suz

Indeed. She is fortunate that she still gets to be at large, indoors! But I know how hard it is to be strict with the adorable, sweet animals in our lives. They can easily have us wrapped...
How is work? How are you?

Oh no! Will the glue make her sick? Poor baby! I am so glad it is Friday and your last day of work for the week: ) YAY!

Ohhh, ohh, that's bad. She's very sad. Do you work at one of those hip offices where you can bring your dog with you? She'd probably like that!

Hope your second week was good!
