Today I had my annual exam at my doc.
He said to me "Happy Wife (actually he calls me by my real name) Happy Wife, do you realize you've lost 10 lbs since last year?"
I had no clue.
But boy, I was happy!
Unexpected weight loss. (The week after Thanksgiving, even! I wonder what the scale would have registered the week BEFORE Thanksgiving?)
I'm going to keep this train rolling.... I'm going to lose 10 more this month.
Why the heck not?

congrats! great news! celebration is called for! (but don't celebrate with food!!!)
I was really shocked! And delighted! (Interestingly, my husband asked me last night if I'd been losing weight and I said "I don't think so"....) DUH!!!!
that goes down i history for the best drs visit ever! EVER! way to go :)
Dawn,
I KNOW! And I love this particular doc... he delivered both of my kids, and I've been seeing him since my mid 20's. He's a great guy. So it was a Red Letter Day for me! :-)
Good for you...I can't believe you did not KNOW THIS. Silly girl.....stress must help with it. BRING IT ON!!
Suz,
Well, I think there were 2 factors - 1) my recent FUNK (when I'm depressed, my appetite goes AWAY) and 2) my migraine meds had to be "upped"... they also decrease the appetite.
Also, I rarely weigh myself. I just don't do it. "JUST SAY NO" is my motto when it comes to stepping on the scale. :-)
CONGRATULATIONS! And you didn't even notice? You must be the least self-oriented woman I know. I would have been obsessing about it, then patting myself on the back, then eating too much to celebrate! GOOD ON YA, MATEY!
Thank you for your prayers. I appreciate them more than I can say.
I think I deleted my facebook info, so am I still on it? I'm embarassed to say that don't know how to use it (and I went to college!). Would you rather email me? If so, go to Katie's caringbridge page. It's one there. God bless you.
Wow! Congrats! Did you notice that your clothes were fitting differently at all? I'm noticing that now more than ever, but unfortunately it's not due to loss!
Oh and when I read the title of your post I thought you were going to say you were pregnant!!!
In that case I guess you would have gained 10 lbs...
Laura,
Believe it or not, I have been completely OBLIVIOUS... apparently I'm orbiting Saturn on this one. :-)
Happy wife has lost some weight

Get up now and start to dance
But careful you might lose your pants
OMG 74Wixygrad is going to make me pee my pants with these rhymes! So funny!
