Did y'all watch "Fantasy Island" in the late 70's, like I did?
It always followed the ever-schmaltzy "Love Boat".
I always liked the mystery and intrigue of Fantasy Island (but then again I was around 12 or 13 when it was on.....) :-)
I always thought Ricardo Montalban was very suave and sophisticated ("rich, Corinthian leather".... remember that???) :)
Rest in peace, Ricardo, rest in peace....

I know! So sad. I remember as a kid famous people of my parents' generation passing on and the effect it had on them. I always thought that was odd, but now that people of my generation have passed on, I totally get it. It's not that I know them, but they were part of our lives in some form. It is sad.
Guess what? I wasn't allowed to watch that or Love Boat or anything like it. Of course I was only 4 in 1980 so I might have been too young for it. Who knows. : )
Oh no! Not Mr. Ryoork??? How do you say his name?
Oh, my, did he pass away?! I hadn't heard anything about it. So sad... he may have been my first crush :)
OMG I used to watch it all the time. Right after the Love Boat. Love both of those shows. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Much love from NJ,

I thought he was brilliant and debonair (sp?)
Yes, he was classy way back when we were kids, Suz.... :-)
I still love the music and the opening scenery.... so pretty.
Let's move there!
Awwww He was very classy and spoke so magnificently. Thanks for the reminder.
was it ever determined if Corinthian Leather was a real thing?
anon Anne
Anon Anne - wasn't it "Rich Corinthian Leather..."?
and wasn't he stating that to sell a very average car, like a Chrysler Cordova?
He was very suave. I bet he was a real ladies man. :)
