I have a couple of good leads.
Both with major insurance carriers. Both have expressed at least a fledgling interest in the services of little old moi.
Looks like I'll be re-immersing myself into the world of Cubicle Dwelling Insurance Nerds sometime in the fairly near future.
But really, that's fine.
Being a self employed entrepreneur is fine and dandy as long as you're MAKING MONEY. If you're not MAKING MONEY, then it just becomes a depressing exercise in futile day after futile day..... which it has been for FAR TOO LONG now....
(Yes, I'm being melodramatic. I'll get over it in a day or so....)

Melodramatic or not, you are fab. good luck. you need to make money. End of story. right?
Oo, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed....
Hooray for the good leads! Businesses always need honorable, intelligent, creative, articulate people (like you)...whether they know it or not. You can help them to realize it! God bless you--and your future employer(s).
Gosh, it's such a hard time right now, all around. It seems as if everyday I hear of someone who has lost their job or can't find a job. I hope 2009 is better for everyone.
You'll do what it takes even if it means cube life for a while. But I'll pray for something else to come around for you!
Smiley,
I appreciate your encouragement, my friend.
The older I get, the more I realize that LIFE is full of chapters.... there really is a season for everything.
Even though I'm irked/irritated/REALLY IRATE that my business is on life support because of the economy, it doesn't mean that the rest of my life will be this way. This is just an "unpleasant" season that I have to walk through. (And really, in the Big Scheme of Things, this is a mild irritant... everything else in my life is pretty darn good.)
I do appreciate your words of encouragement, though. :)
Kia ora HWHL,
Hope you are feeling better and my thoughts are with you. Best wishes to on the $$$ side of things. These are tough times and I am trying to be appreciative of all I have been blessed with, and finding ways to make more of having less - at least in terms of material things. If I could wish one thing in all this morass of economic strife it would be ythat families, friends, and even online communities can connect and reconnect in what is really important, conversation, understanding, debate, appreciation of each others differences, and love - none of those cost much at all except giving of ourselves. Please have a lovely day.
Aroha,
Robb
Robb,
Thank you for your kind words. You are so right.
I had a major "attitude shift" today, which I'll be blogging about later this evening.
I'm always thankful when God gives me a (loving) kick in the @ss, and reminds me that my life is about 95% SWEET, and I really need to concentrate on that, instead of the 5% that is currently sour...
