The "Gratitude Door"

Boquinha left a wonderful comment on my blog yesterday.... a comment SO good that it is worthy of its own post (actually Boquinha's comments frequently lead to their own posts here ... she is THAT good! If you haven't yet checked out her blog, do so!)

Anyway, she made the comment that each November at her house, they have a "Gratitude Door" .... they cover a door in paper and have crayons, pencils, etc. nearby so they can write, draw, etc what they are grateful for. What a GREAT idea, especially if you have kids. (A perfect antidote to the never-ending "I-want-I-want-I-want" of the Christmas season....)

I think I'm going to copy your idea, Boquinha - it's a great suggestion and especially perfect during this "financially strained" Thanksgiving/Christmas 2008!

What a lovely idea. Yes, we all have so much to be grateful for...we need reminding.
take care,
Suz

I love this idea also. So great to focus on what we have and what we are thankful for rather than what we want!

I have got to tell my daughters about this. One is the mother of my three grandchildren and the other works with children in Sunday school and junior church.
