Why Can't We Just All Get Along?

To quote Rodney King.... (remember him?)... and Martin Luther King..... and a bunch of other people.....

WHY can't we just all get along....?!

Like everyone else, I heard about the terrorist attack in Mumbai and was very troubled.
Our next door neighbors - who are truly some of the kindest people on the planet - are originally from India. They have family in Mumbai. Although their family members are OK, they are understandably very shaken up. And on the news I heard the story about Moshe Holtzberg, who will turn 2 years old today, as an orphan, because his parents were murdered by terrorists.

It just breaks my heart.
I simply don't understand the hatred that exists in people's hearts.

If you pray, please pray for those affected by this.

I'm with you. I have thought about this many a time, at different times.

WHY?

Peace,

Thinking about this makes me sad. I always look for good from people and I just cannot figure why all this evil exists. As one who has read the Bible, I know why.

How can anyone have a belief system that supports the destruction of innocent lives?

Interestingly, this morning at church, between songs, up on the large screen they put up the scripture about how Satan prowls around seeking only to destroy... and how he is a thief and a liar. (AND, importantly, how he ultimately already a vanquished foe.)

Unfortunately people who espouse to a belief system that glorifies the destruction of innocent lives buy into the lies of evil.... although this is nothing to new, is is always so tragic to see.

One of the most important and the most unanswered question in life? Why can't everyone be nice? It is easy. I do it everyday.
I pray for all of the victims and surviors...this is trajic.
Oh, and I still tear up whenever I see the Rodney king video...makes me so upset.
