Have YOU heard of a Sugar Glider?

S and her 2 BFF's are downstairs with a "Sugar Glider" which is the latest pet for the 2 BFF's.
(Some background: the 2 BFF's - sisters, and adorable kids - are from a large family - they also have 5 cats, 4 dogs, birds, snakes, bearded dragons, etc. Needless to say, this family enjoys a "variety of life" at their house.) :-)

So, anyway, this little creature is visiting my house - it's really a cute little thing. The girls told me it was a marsupial. (I love that word.)

I was positive the dogs were going to take ANY opportunity to EAT the sugar glider, so I put them in the backyard while the girls were playing with it.

The sugar glider fits neatly into the palm of my hand.
Not sure what you feed it though..... Purina Sugar Glider Chow?

I'm curious: has anyone in the blogosphere had any experience with these little creatures?

I have 2 of them. I bought them from You can visit their site. They sell a chow made by Purina with their formula. What ever you do, do not feed them bugs. It will make them stink. you can reply to my email

Its cruel not to have at least 2 . They are pack anaimals . I have 4 and sell them some times . They need to have crickets / meal worms ( every day ) fresh fruit and vegtables . I mix baby food in with the veggies . Mine has a joey in the pouch and should be ready in 3 months.
