The Problem With Oil Speculation

Part of the issue with the insane run-up in gas prices has to do with the speculators.
Think about it.... they are basically "gaming the system" and then, ultimately reaping the profits of their own speculation. (And who's keeping them in check? At this point.... absolutely no one.)

I stumbled upon a very interesting post over at Don's Mind - definitely worth a read, if you're interested and concerned about energy costs (as we all are....)

(Unfortunately our elected leaders have taken the Ostrich Approach to this problem.... however, if you're interested in contacting them, here is a link with all the information to reach members of Congress.)

I think you are right, and not just oil, but most likely, ALL stocks are being manipulated this way. The brokers don't even know how to advise people nowadays, because of it. They can research the fundamentals, but they cannot account for market manipulation and those companies who change their "business plan" without warning. Gregg keeps saying that the Feds and the SEC need get busy regulating trading again (instead of "ostriching"). It's too lawless; it reminds me of 1929.

It is scary, isn't it, Karen?
(And sad.....)

Unfortunately, the GREED of some is going to lead many to suffer...
