I Think Bella is Rubbing Off On Me

OK, yesterday I was concerned about my coughing.... today I have developed a toothache.

What is UP?!

And it's not one of my molars either... it's my little "vampire tooth" (as my kids say....) You know, the sharp pointy one that's like 2 or 3 back from your front teeth? Why in the world would THAT tooth hurt?

But it REALLY hurts!

Maybe it will keep me from being such a glutton this weekend.

That would be a good thing, esp since Hubster has decided to make a home-made Cherry Cobbler.... (I could be in big trouble.... his desserts are da bomb. I see myself easily eating that DESPITE the tooth pain...)

Jason, as himself said...

I have a weird toothache that comes and goes, even though there is no cavity there.

Sooorry, girl! Haha. It IS contagious! =)

Actually, I have no idea why that tooth would hurt.

Cherry cobbler sounds divine though! Never had it, but I love cherries!

I followed the "Holland" link that you gave me, and sure enough, that piece was given to us (in a book) when we first got into the hospital with Katie. It resonated strongly then, and it was kind of you to remind me of it.
Change cannot be avoided; I will adjust. It simply helps me to honor the resistance I feel, the pain as well as the gratitude, by "speaking" my feelings about the events. I cannot control events, but I get to choose how I respond.
I hope you have a great weekend! God bless you.

No amount of pain could keep me away from cobbler! But dang it, after that, go to the dentist! That is NO fun!

Have you seen the Doris Day/Rock Hudson movie "Send me no Flowers?" It's the BEST!! Rock Hudson, always thinking he is ill, over hears the doctor talking about someone who is going to die. Hudson believes it is himself and spends his remaining days finding the perfect replacement for himself. It is HILARIOUS! One of the best movies!

It would give you a laugh and help you ease the pain!

Jason,
I'm glad someone else suffers from Phantom Tooth Pain as well! ;-)

Bella & D'Arcy - the cobbler WAS divine. It was also the most gorgeous deep deep red color. Hubster served it warm with Mayfield vanilla ice cream (D'Arce... I know you don't have Mayfield out West, but you'll have to take my word for it... it's the BEST vanilla ice cream - super creamy...)

D'Arcy - also, no I haven't seen that movie, but I'll have to check it out. I love Rock Hudson ("Giant" with he and Elizabeth Taylor, was one of my favorites... he was a beautiful man and a very talented actor)

Karen,
I had a feeling you probably had seen the "Holland" piece before. It helped me see things through a new "lens" during those long tough days of 1996.... (someone tells me the Olympics were in Atlanta that Summer.... honestly, I have no recollection of that. i lived at the NICU from April - October of that year...)

Phantom tooth pain sounds like referred pain, probably a nerve being irritated somewhere and may have nothing to do with your teeth! Or it may, haha, but lets go for the positive!
