Considering I'm always the one TAKING the pictures, there are very few pictures of ME on my blog. (Except my profile picture, which is 3 years old. And the picture of me snuggling with Hubster which is way WAY old.....)
So, here are a couple of recent self-portraits of me (ie - taken YESTERDAY!) for your viewing enjoyment! :-)
Ponytailed me. My daughter saw this and pointed out that my "gray is showing" and "you really need to dye your hair, Mom". Nothing like stating the obvious. :-)
I thought I'd take a self-portrait in the mirror. Problem is, I forgot to turn off the flash... however, I kind of like the way it turned out.... it's different, that's for sure. :-)

Impressive! There is no way I would post pictures I've taken of myself. Just can't get the face and the hands with camera "together!"
p.s. File that little conversation with your daughter away for when you need it someday!
Cute. Did you tell her you would not have gray hair if it were not for her????
you are a doll, always a doll.
Fun photos. What gray hair? I dont see any gray! God bless you...
Suz - Good thinking!
Louise - Also, good thinking!
(And yes, I am dying my hair tonight... the gray will be gone tomorrow!) :-)
PS: Louise, the pictures you see in this post are the best 2 out of about 20 attempts! (Some were some REAL doozies, I can assure you! Thank God for the DELETE button...) ;-)
Karen - the gray is WELL hidden, but definitely there... but in a few short hours (once the kids are in bed) it will magically go away, thanks to a lovely little box just waiting for me on my counter top.
:-)
Your eyes are full of light, like I knew they would be. You are a beautiful woman inside and out, and you are gracefully filling this world with so much love and goodness!
Love you!
Dang, D'Arcy. That's awfully sweet, girl - thanks! :-)
(I love having a poet as a friend!)
Whenever I try to do self-portraits it turns out like the image of me looking into a spoon.
Doesn't Proverbs say something about "Gray hair is a crown of splendor"?
Don't hide that gray. Flaunt it!
