Right now, at 4:50 PM, my outside thermometer (which is mostly in the shade) is registering 93 degrees.
It's Spring, people. Summer doesn't start until the 20th.
This does not bode well.
The kids and I were out at the mall, and then our favorite used bookstore, and then we were going to go grocery shopping but the heat just wore us out and we returned home. I think an afternoon nap may even be in order.
I am very thankful for Mr. Willis Haviland Carrier today. I hope he made a boatload of money, won the Nobel Prize, and had groupies.

I agree...without him...I would be living up north. It is hot as Haites here.....in the shade too. I got sunburned at the softball games....I was sitting under a canopy with spf 20. Just crazy.
I finally took the kids to the pool at 8 this evening.... we just got home. It was too damn hot to go up there any earlier!
