New Device That Short-Circuits Migraines

I will be the FIRST IN LINE when the FDA approves this little machine.
I'm sure it will cost a lot, but it will be worth it.
Very encouraging news for people like me. (Imitrex does not work for me.... Topamax helps to prevent them, but if one breaks through, I'm DONE for the day....)

Anyway, here's hope (Laurie, I know you get them too!)

I have a little assignment for you... next time you feel a migraine coming on, find out if the air pressure has changed, either up or down. There's a physical reason for it that a doctor can explain, but suffice to say, that may be what sets it off for you. You can manage your migraines by knowing if that's going to happen. I know for me, the best treatment was to see a chiropractor. Unfortunately, right now I can't afford one, so my Poor Man fix is Tylenol Sinus. I don't want to tell people what to do, but I know this has helped a lot of people that suffer with migraines.

And if all else fails, maybe beating Mario Lopez up for his gross spreads would at least make us feel better mentally.

Laurie - you are ON! Too bad we aren't neighbors - we could share one of these contraptions once they get approved!

Sugar - you are correct! Change in barometric pressure (either up or down), that time of the month, alcohol (sometimes), and other (frequently unknown) factors will trigger migraines for me... which is why I take Topamax, as it is a preventative drug. AND, most of the time, it works like a charm in keeping the Migraine Monster away. However, Topamax is ridiculously expensive and every now and then, one will "sneak past the goalie" and that is it. I am TOAST when that happens.

(But yes, let's still go ahead and beat Mario up. Or at least, insist that he keep his britches on.) ;-)
